Your Guide to enjoying the Bar and Bistro from 19th July

Following the much welcomed final lifting of restrictions for hospitality, we’ve set out our guidelines for enjoying the Bar and Bistro.

Do I need to ‘check in’ via the NHS Track & Trace app if I want to use the Bar & Bistro?

In order to be compliant with government legislation, we are strongly recommending that all members wishing to use the Bar & Bistro check-in via the NHS Track & Trace app. QR codes will be placed around the venue including the entrance to the Bar and the outdoor areas.

If you do not want to use the NHS app then providing you are accessing the Clubhouse via the turnstile with your member card then a record of your visit is maintained.

Please note, if anyone in your group is not accessing the Clubhouse with their member card then they must present themselves at reception to sign in as a guest.

Note that making a table reservation is not sufficient as it does not record the details of your entire party.

Who can I sit with?

Social distancing regulations no longer apply, as such members can sit with whomever they like, in any group size.  However, members are reminded not to move furniture throughout the Bar & Bistro or in the outdoor areas.

Do I need to book a table in advance?

We will continue to recommend that you make a reservation in advance of your visit to avoid disappointment. Tables will also be available on a walk-in basis for both indoor and outdoor covered tables but it is anticipated we will be busy at peak times. We will be putting a small number of extra tables back into the main bar area. Click here to make a reservation

TOP TIP – Save it as a bookmark in your web browser and/or save it to your home screen on your mobile device).

Making reservations in advance enables our Bar team to plan accordingly for each day so we thank you in advance for booking your table before you visit.

What are the opening times?

  • Monday to Wednesday 8am-10.30pm (last orders for drinks at 10pm). Food served from 8.30am -8.30pm (last orders for food 8pm, note Thursdays and Fridays this is extended to 9pm last orders for food with an 11pm service for drinks).
  • Saturday 9am – 9pm (last orders for drinks 8.30pm) with food served 9am – 6.30pm.
  • Sunday 9am – 8pm (last orders 7.30pm), food served from 10am – 5pm. Last orders for food orders 5pm.

How do I order food and drink?

Members will have two ways to order food and drink from Monday 19th July:

  • Via the existing QR ordering system available at each table. Payments can be made via VISA, Mastercard or Apple Pay on your mobile device. Once ordered your order will be delivered to your table.
  • Members can queue at the main bar, order and pay at the bar. You will need to ensure you have noted your table number first as we will deliver your order to your table once you have paid.

Please note we will not be taking orders direct from tables; orders can only be placed via the two methods detailed above.

Can I use my Member Card?

Member card payments can be accepted when ordering at the bar, however, please note we will not be offering the facility to top up your card with new funds. The purpose of allowing the use of member cards is so that you can use any remaining balance on your accounts whilst we review this method of payment in the future.

Members are reminded that the member discount is applied to all transactions no matter what payment method you use so it is not necessary to use your member card to receive the discount.

Where can I find the Food Menu?

Our menu is available to view here. Please note there is a QR code on our menu which directs members to menu items that are suitable for those with selected food intolerances.

Do I still need to book for Steak Nights and Sunday Roasts?

Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance for both Steak Nights and Sunday Roasts.

When you make your reservation you can now select “Steak Night” and “Sunday Roast” from the Advance Dining dropdown list.

Do I need to wear a face mask?

No. However, members can of course wear a mask if it makes them feel more comfortable and protected.

Will the Business Lounge still be available?

The Business Lounge will be available for use but from time to time will not be available should a private function be taking place.

Where can I use my mobile phone?

Members are now allowed to use their mobile phones throughout the bar and family lounge but must ensure they remain considerate of those around them who may be enjoying some quiet time. If you intend to be on a phone call for a period of time, then please relocate to an outdoor table or use the business lounge.

Phones must remain on silent at all times in all areas.

Can I make an event booking such as a birthday party or business meeting?

Enquiries for events can be made to events@staging.edgbastonpriory.com

Please note however that in the short term we will not be accommodating large bookings i.e. 50 plus people in attendance. Whilst we welcome the news that restrictions are to be eased, we want to maintain the safe and comfortable environment our members have come to enjoy and value over the last few months. As such larger events will be internal member events that are suitably risk assessed.

We will review our position on larger external events from September onwards.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Bar and Bistro from 19th July.
