Two major wild card additions have been confirmed to the player field of the women’s only Rothesay Classic Birmingham (19-25 June), the second longest running women’s-only WTA event in Europe now in its 41st consecutive edition.
The 23-time major champion (across singles, women’s doubles and mixed), Venus Williams, will be making her second appearance at Edgbaston Priory Club (after 2019).
Former world No.3 Elina Svitolina who won her first title as a mother last week in Strasbourg has been confirmed as the second wild card for the Rothesay Classic.
The final player line-ups for Birmingham will be confirmed before Friday 16 June.
