Community Tennis

community tennis shot 2Our community tennis programme was launched in 2011 with the creation of the Lordswood Community Tennis Club. Additional coaching programmes swiftly followed in Cannon Hill Park and Queen’s Park.

Led by Aegon Coach of the year 2013, Stuart Maidment, our community tennis scheme is thriving. We teach thousands of children in local schools the skills they need to enjoy playing tennis, inspiring them to take yo this great sport.

Since the scheme started we have attracted over 350 children to our clubs with an average of 150 children playing the game each week in all weathers. Our club tournaments such as Wimbledon weekend, bring the whole family together to enjoy a game of tennis.

None of this would be possible without the support we receive from The Tennis Foundation, Give it Your Max and Handelsbanken to whom we owe our grateful thanks.
