It’s four weeks until we open our doors once more and we’re busy planning a safe and enjoyable return for members.

We’ve created our own roadmap out of lockdown to give you a brief overview of what to expect from 29th March.  Full details will be provided closer to reopening once we receive final guidance from our sports’ governing bodies.

Of course, everything is subject to change at each stage of the journey but we’re really looking forward to dusting off the covers and flinging open the doors to you all.

So here is our brief guide to the club’s route out of lockdown.

NO EARLIER THEN THE 29TH MARCH

Outdoor tennis and swimming return along with 1-1 personal training and outdoor fitness classes.  All activities will be subject to social distancing measures and members will be encouraged to arrive, play, train or swim and leave.

NO EARLIER THEN THE 12TH APRIL

Squash and indoor tennis will resume, subject to social distancing measures.  Junior coaching courses will resume and we will be holding an Easter Holiday camp indoors from 12th April.  In addition, the gym, the indoor pool and the outdoor spa will reopen.

Outdoor eating and drinking will be permitted, following the rule of six or up to two households.  The treatment room will also reopen and you can purchase shop items via the clubhouse reception and get your rackets restrung!

NO EARLIER THAN THE 17TH MAY

Indoor fitness classes will resume along with tennis and squash for adults indoors, subject to Covid-secure measures.  The Bar, Bistro and Family Lounge will reopen with bookings limited to the rule of six or up to two households – look out for some outdoor events for the May bank holiday weekends.

We’re also working closely with the LTA to deliver a safe and enjoyable Birmingham Classic from 12th to 20th June.

NO EARLIER THAN THE 21ST JUNE

If all the above stages go to plan, further restrictions will be eased and we can look forward to a return to ‘normal’ across the summer.

We’re bus planning a bumper summer of events for members to enjoy with lots of dancing and hugs on order!

Meanwhile…

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing a video to bring you up to date on the projects we have been working on during lockdown three and, by the end of this week, a new zoom fitness class timetable will be issued to take us to the 29th March.

We’re really excited about reopening to members and will provide final details closer to 29th March.

In the meantime, take care, stay safe and get your vaccination!
