Edgbaston Priory Club has launched a brand new journey for junior members as part of its commitment to welcoming more families to enjoy an active lifestyle post lockdown.

The new family offering includes more family-friendly spaces, more free family sessions and a range of tennis, squash, swimming and fitness activities.

MAKING FAMILIES WELCOME

During lockdown three the old gym has been refurbished to create a multi-use space for early years, where the club offers creche, parent and toddler classes, and stay and play sessions.  This space, renamed The Nest, will also host junior social events and private children’s parties.

The family lounge has also been transformed into a more family friendly space with a dedicated outdoor play area on the events lawn.

FROM HATCHLINGS TO PHOENIXES

The club has also created an exciting journey for our juniors from Hatchlings (0-5) to Fledglings (5 –11) and then into Phoenixes (11+) with lots more opportunities for children to be active and for families to spend more time together.

DELIVERING ON OUR COMMITMENT TO FAMILIES

We have also appointed an Early Years Coordinator, Lauren Mackinnon, who will work with the teams to coordinate and develop the range of services for families.

Speaking of the club’s commitment to families, Matt Rawnsley, chief executive of Edgbaston Priory Club said:

We want to be a vibrant community for families where active kids can enjoy tennis, squash, swimming and fitness activities together with lots of non-sporting fun for the not-so active.   Our new family offering launched in April is just the start of a journey and we will continue to develop activities and events for families from early years through to grandparents.

The past 12 months have been very difficult for families balancing home-schooling with work and family time.  We welcome families to come and join us to enjoy an active time together this summer.
