We’re really excited to be welcoming members back indoors to drink and dine from Monday 17th May!

Please find all the information you need to know prior to visiting the Bar & Bistro from Monday 17th May including the latest menu and all the important protocols in place to adhere to the government legislation and keep us Covid-secure.

Here’s our handy revised Q&A…

Do I need to ‘check in’ via the NHS Track & Trace app if I want to use the Bar & Bistro?

In order to be compliant with government legislation, we are strongly recommending that all members wishing to use the Bar & Bistro check-in via the NHS Track & Trace app. QR codes will be placed around the venue including the entrance to the Bar and the outdoor areas.

If you do not want to use the NHS app then providing you are accessing the Clubhouse via the turnstile with your member card then a record of your visit is maintained.

Please note, if anyone in your group is not accessing the Clubhouse with their member card then they must present themselves at reception to sign in as a guest.

Note that making a table reservation is not sufficient as it does not record the details of your entire party.

Who can I sit with?

The “Rule of 6” will be enforced as per government guidelines: Up to 6 people from any number of households can now be seated indoors at a table, this includes children. Alternatively, a group of any size from up to 2 households. Please note however that furniture must not be moved in any areas as it may compromise social distancing regulations for groups sitting after your visit.

On our outside terraces and lawn similar restrictions will be in place to ensure that social distancing is maintained. Please note members are reminded that furniture must not be moved from its original location.

Please note that members will be required under the government guidance to be seated whilst consuming any food or drink.

Do I need to book a table in advance?

We are strongly recommending that you always make a reservation in advance of your visit to avoid disappointment. Tables will also be available on a walk-in basis for both indoor and outdoor covered tables but it is anticipated we will be busy at peak times. Click here to make a reservation (top tip – save it as a bookmark in your web browser and/or save it to your home screen on your mobile device). As of the 17th May there are six sections where you can reserve tables;

  • Main Bar
  • Family Lounge
  • Outdoor Pool Side Terrace Covered
  • Outdoor Lawn Side Terrace Covered
  • Open Air Outdoor Seating
  • Business Use Booths Main Bar

Making reservations in advance enables our Bar team to plan accordingly for each day so we thank you in advance for booking your table before you visit.

Will the Business Lounge be open?

The business lounge will re-open from Monday 17th May with a limited amount of tables available on a first come first serve basis. We will also be introducing new seating in the main bar for members looking to work from a laptop, with safety dividers between each booth and USB/mains charging sockets available.

Will the Family Lounge be open?

The Family Lounge has had a small facelift in anticipation of reopening on the 17th May! We are also pleased to be re-opening with the following additions to this family focused space.

  •  Chairs and tables suitable for your little ones
  • Tearaway colouring in pads
  • Large chalkboard area for doodling
  • Children’s TV content in the room opposite the booths
  • More sofa’s for adults to relax
  • Activity Placemats for kids dining
  • Weather permitting, direct access to the family focused portion of the terrace and lawn, complete with play den and garden games
  • Mobile phones and portable devices can be used in the Family Lounge

Following significant investment into increasing covered seating capacity throughout the Bar & Bistro, from Monday 17th May only families can use the “Family Lounge” area. Please note that you may be asked to move to another area of the Bar & Bistro if you do not have children in your group.

 What are the opening times?

  • Monday to Friday 8am-10.30pm (last orders for drinks at 10pm). Food served from 8.30am -8pm (last orders for food 8pm, note Thursdays and Fridays this is extended to 8.30pm).
  • Saturday 9am – 9pm (last orders for drinks 8.30pm) with food served 9am – 6.30pm.
  • Sunday 9am – 7pm (last orders 6.30pm), food served from 10am – 5pm. Last orders for food orders 5pm.
  • Please note we will be keeping these times under close review.

How do I order food and drink at my table?

We will be using the QR code ordering system available at your table in order to limit unnecessary contact. There is no fee to use this service and member prices are displayed by default. We can take orders at your table but please note that this may result in delays in service to your table. Member cards under this phase of re-opening cannot be used for payment. Only payment via Chip & Pin or the QR app will be accepted.

Where can I find the Food Menu?

Our menu is available to view here. As we progress through the roadmap we will review the menu. Also note, there is a QR code on our menu which directs members to menu items that are suitable for those with selected food intolerances. Keep an eye out for occasional limited specials available on the QR app.

Will Steak Nights, Pizza Nights and Sunday Roasts continue?

Steak Nights have been incredibly popular the last few weeks! Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance and be sure to put in the comments “Steak Night” so that we know you intend to dine from the Steak menu (this enables us to plan accordingly).

Our fantastic Pizza Sharing Deal is available all day Saturdays from 12pm! Advance bookings are recommended.

Sunday Roasts reservations must be made 24 hours in advance and be sure to put in the comments “Sunday Roast” so that we know you intend to dine from the Roast menu (this enables us to plan accordingly).

Do I need to wear a face mask?

Members of staff will wear face masks at all times. Members may remove masks when seated at a table but must wear one when navigating the Clubhouse (entering, exiting, using toilet facilities). Masks do not need to be worn outside.

Can I order food and drink to take away?

Absolutely. You can order via the QR code or at the Bar and collect it from the Collection Point. If you are ordering via the QR app then please assign your table number as 0. Please ask a member of the team for further details.

Will live sport be broadcast on the televisions?

Absolutely! Live sport will return to all of our televisions in the bar from the 17th May.

How do I turn the heaters on under the covered areas?

The heaters are operated by the Bar & Bistro team and once turned on will operate for one hour before turning off. Please ask a member of the team to turn your heater on if you require it. We also have windscreens available on the covered tables adjacent to the events lawn but they must be operated by the bar team only.

Are there any other changes?

As we move cautiously into this next phase, we will be re-introducing only a portion of our normal indoor table capacity. The Main Bar area now encompasses the entirety of the Bar & Bistro area so there will be a range of furniture throughout this space as opposed to the layout last year where dining was focused to the Bistro area.

Members are also now allowed to use their mobile phones throughout the bar and family lounge but must ensure they remain considerate of those around them who may be enjoying some quiet time. If you intend to be on a phone call for a period of time then please relocate to an outdoor table or use the business lounge.

Can I make a dining reservation for 2 households over 6 people?

We will not be taking reservations online for group sizes greater than 6 in any area of the Bar & Bistro to ensure space between tables is maintained at all times.

If you would like to make a dining reservation for over 6 people (maximum 2 households) then we will be able to accommodate you on selected days and times. Please email ryan.floyd@edgbastonpriory.com with your requirements and we will try our best to accommodate your booking.

Can I make an event booking such as a birthday party or business meeting?

At the moment in order to continue to re-open slowly, we will not be offering any DDR packages for business meetings or birthday party packages.

It is expected that we will offer packages from July once the next scheduled date of the roadmap has passed and the Birmingham Classic has concluded.

We will provide more information in due course.
