We would like to thank members for the the positive feedback we received yesterday following our announcement on changes to the club’s opening times and facilities,
In consultation with sports governing bodies and other private members’ clubs, we continue to provide opportunities for recreational exercise that takes place at a safe distance from others and in safe exercise environments.
Below we provide further information on the initiatives we are undertaking to enable you to continue to enjoy the benefits of membership.
We are now running a variety of fitness classes outside on Tennis Court 9, including:
- Super circuits
- Boxing Circuits
- Tabata training
- HIIT Circuits
- Boot Camp Circuits
- Standing Yoga
- Power-walking around the site (to replace the low impact classes such as Aqua and Fitball)
Class sizes will be limited to ensure safe distance between members.
The classes may be booked in the usual way via MyCourts.
Lisa is also intending to create zoom workouts which will allow you to join a live workout from your own home.
TENNIS, SQUASH AND RACKETBALL
Our tennis and squash coaching teams will be launching a range of skills and drills sessions to keep your technique going. Again, you can follow these via our Facebook and Instagram channels:
In addition, Nick Matthew, former world No 1 and world champion, (currently self-isolating) will be hosting squash specific yoga on his Facebook page at 7.30pm every day.
Our tennis and squash courts are available to book for matches.
We do encourage members to maintain their exercise and sporting routines whilst of course respecting Public Health England’s guidance for preventing the spread of coronavirus.
We will continue to update members on a daily basis, following the Government’s announcements.
We thank you for your continued support during these challenging times.
