Tennis Club Championships
Final & One Day Event – Sunday 16th July 2016

This is a great knockout event where members battle it out to be the Club Champion.

Format: Knockout event leading up to the final.
Entry: Entries close a month before the finals day so members have time to play a knockout event. On the finals day there is also a one day event which encourages more members to come down and watch. There are singles, doubles and mixed events to enter.

Memorial Tournament
24th September 2016

This tournament remembers those members we have lost over the years.  It is another doubles event but on this occasion members play with the same partner throughout the whole event and there is a trophy for the winning pair.

Format: Ladies’ and men’s names are placed in a hat. The organizer pull names out of the hat to reveal partners. This is a handicap event which means that if you win a game you start -15 in the next game. This scoring system will be explained in more detail on the day but in essence it enables pairings to be more even and makes for an enjoyable afternoon of tennis.
