Junior Squash & Racketball

Junior Squash Courses

Mini Squash is the starting point of the England Squash Player Pathway and is the best way of introducing children to the sport. Research indicates that before the age of 11, children are most receptive to learning physical skills such as running, jumping, balance, co-ordination, throwing and catching. All of the skills that are fundamental to the athletic development in children form the basis of the Mini Squash programme.

All sessions are taught by Edgbaston Priory Club-approved and England Squash-qualified coaches who have experience in this area and will be assisted by specially-trained helpers. All courses are taken on a squash court and will have a ratio of 1 coach to 6 players. Parents are also encouraged to take an active involvement in their child’s progress so bring a pair of indoor trainers and come on court to join in the fun!

Ages are a guideline only since players will progress with ability not age. The coaches can give further advice on this.
