When John Miller and Jan McCulloch founded the business in 1975, the West Midlands including Birmingham and the Black Country was very different to what it has become today. Much of the area’s heritage as the workshop of the world remained – the world of the Drop Forger, Foundry and Press Shop was still in existence with a high percentage of the business handled being in manufacturing or heavy industry.
As the years have moved on, alongside this industrial base has grown an increased emphasis on the service and distribution sectors. Huge swathes of traditional property have also been redeveloped with much as new housing.
During these years Stewart Miller Insurance has remained true to its original ideals providing excellent service and expertise in the arrangement of corporate and personal insurance.
Today, under the ownership of Peter James, David Bird and the long standing Directors/Employees, Tracey James and Cheryl Maybury, the Company continues to perform strongly whilst progressing through this changing world.
