High Performance Players in Winning Form

Charlie Gregory, one of Edgbaston Priory Club’s high performance players, won the Under-12 title at the Nike National Junior Championships held in Bournemouth today.

Charley who was seeded No. 4, overcame a first set loss to beat the No. 4 seed Toby Samuel 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.

At our own  RLK Edgbaston Priory Open , which has been taking place this week, there have been further successes for our home grown talent.

Karan Tumber took the Boys Under-18 title in a closely fought match, whilst Mae McCutcheon was runner-up in the under-14 girls event.

This follows on from the success of Jake Hersey, who last week won a Tennis Europe Grade 1 clay court in Belgium which takes him into the top ten rankings for under-14s in Europe.

Edgbaston Priory Club has been a high performance accredited club since 2006.

The centre offers players outstanding facilities in which to train all year round along with expert coaching.  All programmes are bespoke to each player, depending on the athlete’s current requirements, goals and ambitions.

Key partners including BMI Healthcare and Birmingham University provide additional medical, physical and psychological support services plus optional educational services  by Exam Central for players aged 13 to 18 enabling on-site, face-to-face education services for GCSEs and A levels.
